Have questions? We have answers!

Our FAQs

Below, we’ve put together answers to the kinds of questions we’re asked most often. They cover the practical stuff, the “what ifs”, and the in-betweens. If there’s still something on your mind after reading through, we’d love to hear from you.

Can you help if my NDIS plan is under review or hasn’t been approved yet?

Yes, we can still talk things through. If your NDIS plan is under review, in the middle of a reassessment, or not yet approved, you’re not alone—it happens more often than people think.

You can contact Junalu for guidance even before funding is in place. We can help you understand what kinds of supports might be included once the plan is finalised and give you some clarity about what’s typically covered.

While we can’t offer ongoing support until funding is approved, we’re happy to answer questions, explain options, and, in some cases, connect you with interim supports or advocacy services.

We’ve walked alongside many people through this process, so we know how confusing it can be—and we’ll do what we can to make it less stressful.

Absolutely. This is something we come across quite a lot, especially in aged care. It can be tricky when someone you care about needs help but doesn’t feel ready to accept it. If this sounds familiar, you’re more than welcome to contact Junalu and talk it through.

We can offer suggestions, explain how we work, and give you realistic options for introducing support gently—without overwhelming anyone. We also understand the importance of preserving independence and dignity, and we always approach these situations with care and respect.

You don’t have to figure it out alone, and even a short conversation can help you feel more confident in what steps to take next.

It’s important that individuals feel comfortable with the people supporting them, so if something doesn’t feel quite right, you’re encouraged to let us know.

Reach out Junalu and we’ll talk through what’s not working and why—it might be about personality, communication style, or something else entirely. We take feedback seriously and don’t take it personally.

If a change is needed, we’ll handle it with care and respect. Finding the right match can take time, and we’re committed to getting it right. The focus is always on what feels best for the individual receiving support.

We don’t just set up a support plan and leave it. Needs can change—sometimes gradually, sometimes suddenly—so we stay in regular contact and check in often.

We’ll notice if something starts to shift and encourage open conversations so adjustments can be made easily. Whether someone’s becoming more independent, needing extra support, or just wants to tweak their routine, we’re ready to adapt.

Communication is key, and we always take the time to make sure the support still feels right.
